This Christmas, as the busy streets slow down and the buzzing shops quiet, my thoughts turn to you. My heart is warmed by our collective commitment to defending human dignity.
We say that phrase a lot— »defending human dignity. » I hope that you grasp the solemn yet inspiring importance of that mission, especially given the time of year.
Dignity is the quality of being worthy of honor or respect. I certainly believe every person is inherently endowed with this quality, and is worthy of being treated with honor and respect, and I think you do too. This might seem like a simple idea, but in our world today, it’s actually quite radical.
Not everyone has the dedication to take a stand for dignity especially when it is unpopular to do so. That’s what makes me so humbled to know that you are with us, and that our numbers grow daily.
As I gather with my family this evening, and tomorrow, know that I am so grateful for you and your unique place in this movement. It is an honor serving alongside you.
